Shopping At The Best Store In The World
Not too many parents like to shop with small children. A simple trip to the grocery can turn in to a long, drawn out, exhausting excursion when trying to wrangle the kids, referee fights or explain healthy choices all pushing your cart through crowded store aisles. Mega-stores are always a good choice because they offer the convenience of one-stop shopping and the avoidance of getting the kids in and out of the car multiple times – which only leads to more frustration, and possibly fights. But there is that dreaded moment when you realize that your beloved mega-store has everything you need on this shopping trip – except for one VERY essential item. OH NO! You need to make another stop.
But going to Target will more than likely eliminate the likelihood of this situation ever happening.
I’ll venture a guess that the majority of people who go to Target with a specific item in mind to buy end up purchasing more than they came for.
For example, on a visit to buy, say, some women’s brown boots, there will no doubt be a sale. It is difficult for most women, even with kids in tow, to pass up a shoe sale. Especially when the prices are so affordable and the brands and styles so appealing. Plus, since all of the adult and children’s shoes are located in roughly the same area, the kids can have fun trying on shoes along with you.
Distractions in a store such as this are commonplace. Something even as simple as shopping just for a leather watch band to replace your old one can turn into an extra half-hour or more of shopping when you get a glimpse of the many rotating stands of costume jewelry.
In this kind of store, women aren’t the only ones susceptible to impulse buys or leisurely window shopping. There are lots of sections that will hold interest for men as well. There’s hardware, auto, tools and a pretty impressive sports aisle as well. Some random browsing might just lead to spotting some nice alpine skiing equipment. And before you know it, you’re planning your next family vacation at a ski resort.
So, ultimately, that’s what is really terrific about Target; in addition to great, affordable shopping, it’s great for daydreaming too.
